Trip Report
May 10 through May 12th
Back story-The kids at our daughters elementary school collected 500lbs of bottle caps which were to be recycled and converted into a trash can for the playground. Tawnya and I thought it through and decided that it would be a fun adventure to drive 1500 miles in 48 hours in order to check off 2 more states on our list.
Planning-Since we were traveling on highways and states that were foreign to us I did a little bit more in depth research on rest areas and fueling stations thanks..www.rvtripwizard.com.
From the door of the school to our campground it was a 700 mile/10+ hour run. My plan was to drive 4 and rest for 1 until we arrived at our first campground. Yeah that went out the window...I rolled straight into Evansville, Indiana.

A few things that I found out
1-Fuel prices change drastically from Virginia to West Virginia to Kentucky
2-Kentucky does a great job of operating rest areas
3-The truck stops in West Virginia are AWESOME! Big, wide lanes and reasonable prices.
4-In the RV Lifestyle you are only limited by your imagination

We traveled over 1500 miles. Only had 1 medium sized issue creep up (I ran over something that poked a hole in one of the bays. We drove a total of 20 hours out of 48 hours. A Good Time Was Had By All
